Uebernachtung in Thaton."

"Burmese women in Thai 'human zoo'
It is hard not to stare. At the end of a dirt track, deep in the Thai jungle, a group of women sit in the shade, fingering the coils of brass which snake tightly around their unnaturally long, giraffe-like necks.
[...]Boycott?
But in a dramatic intervention, the United Nations is now talking of the need for a tourism boycott, amid allegations that the Kayan are being trapped in a "human zoo".

[...] Other older women in the village agreed that, with little hope of ever returning to Burma, earning 1500 baht a month to be stared at by tourists was an acceptable deal. "

aus news.orf.at (120310)

"Tens of thousands of anti-government demonstrators in the Thai capital Bangkok are protesting for the fourth day in a row. Many demonstrators have been giving blood so that it can be spilled in protest at the gates of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's office.

The "Red Shirts", who support ousted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, are demanding the resignation of the current government and early elections. Mr Thaksin's supporters, who are largely from rural areas in the north and east of the country, would be likely to win an election.

A joint session of both houses of parliament has been cancelled after only 80 out of the 625 parliamentarians turned up. Many of them stayed away fearing violence by Thaksin supporters. The Red Shirts have vowed not to use violence, and so far only one violent incident has been reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban says the authorities had received reports that there could be arson or bomb attacks planned, but critics have dismissed this as "scaremongering".

Thaksin Shinawatra was ousted from power by the army in 2006 and now lives in exile in Dubai."

"A perfect accommodation for business executives seeking a greater level of privacy, luxury and convenience.
Pan Pacific Bangkok’s 48 Superior rooms, 22 Deluxe rooms and 6 Suites on Pacific Floor are on the top three floors of the 32-storey building and lets you experience “the hotel within the hotel”.

The heart of the Pacific Floors is our Pacific Lounge located on Level 31. This private courtyard and atrium embodies all the elegance of a classic chateau garden under a glass-domed roof – the perfect place to unwind or conduct an informal business meeting.

Pacific Floor guests can enjoy the ultimate in luxury and service which include:
• Personalized private check-in and check-out on 31st floor.
• Late check-out until 04.00 p.m. without charge subject to availability.

• Complimentary use of a meeting room on 21st floor for one hour per room per stay subject to availability, Excessive hour is Baht 700 per hour (Please make an advanced booking with your butler).

• Complimentary use of broadband internet access in your room

• Complimentary use of the computer workstation with free broadband internet access at Pacific Lounge
• Personal butler service from 06.00 am till 11.00 pm

• Daily laundry, dry-cleaning, pressing service and express service at value of BAHT 500.- net inclusive of service charge and government tax, per day/room, non-accumulative. Same-day service is available for the collection before 10.00 a.m.

• Free local calls from the room (02-xxxxxxx) only exclude mobile phone call.
Pacific Lounge
• Complimentary International buffet breakfast at Pacific Lounge from 06.30 – 10.30 am
• Complimentary all day coffee & tea 06.30 am – 11.00 pm at Pacific Lounge

• Daily evening cocktails, hot dishes and canapé from 05.00pm – 8.00pm In addition to extensive benefits created exclusively for Pacific Floor guests, your personal butler will be there to attend to your every need. "

"The Maekok River Village Resort is idyllically located on the banks of the Mae Kok River with sweeping views across the valley to the distant forested mountains. The peaceful, rural setting makes an ideal getaway for those wanting to escape the usual city tourist traps. For the interested and adventurous the resort also makes an excellent jumping off point for discovering Northern Thailand."

Im tripadvisor hat's auch gute kritiken.

programm kambodscha

"DAY 1 PHNOM PENH
On arrival you are welcomed by the representative of our local partner agency. Then transfer to the hotel in the city center.

DAY 2 PHNOM PENH
Sightseeing tour in- and around the bustling capital, which will show you all the highlights. You will see the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the hill temple of Wat Phnom, which is the most important one, but also take stroll over central market.
An optional visit to Tuol Sleng (museum of genocide) and the Killing Fields outside the city can be included as well. Lunch at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 PHNOM PENH - SIEM RAEP
Full day tour to Siem Raep. On route have some brief stops at local villages and lunch at a local restaurant. Just before reaching Siem Raep do a side trip to the Tonle Sap Lake. There enjoy a boat trip and visit one of the floating villages to get an impression about the daily life of these fishing people living in simple huts on the water.
In Siem Raep take a quick look in to a wood- and stone carving centre.

DAY 4 SIEM REAP
After breakfast pick up from the hotel. Today's tour in- and around Siem Reap will show you all major sights, such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the giant stone face temple of Bayon, the atmospheric ruins of Ta Prohm, the Elephant Terrace etc. Have lunch at a local restaurant on route. Late afternoon you will be back at the hotel.

DAY 5 SIEM REAP
Time at leisure or take a walk in the small city for some shopping. Then transfer to the airport and continue your journey...or extend your stay in Siem Raep, depend on your further schedule."

summary ex bangkok:
from bangkok to siem reap/cambodia, meet tour guide and chauffeur, then sightseeing, leaving cambodia via phnom penh, flight to chiang rai/thailand via bangkok, meet tourguide and chauffeur for tour across northern thailand, ending at chiang mai, then flight to bangkok, to continue journey back home to vienna via copenhagen/denmark (flying SAS).

Arrival: 19:10 Copenhagen, Denmark - Kastrup ,
Airline: Scandinavian
Airlines SK9404
Duration: 1:45
Aircraft: Airbus Industrie
A320-100/200

Departure: 22:50 Copenhagen, Denmark -
Arrival: 14:45 +1 day(s) Bangkok, Thailand -
Suvarnabhumi

Arrival: 12:30 Vienna, Austria - Vienna International
Airline: Scandinavian Airlines SK9403
Duration: 1:45
Aircraft: Airbus Industrie A319

"General Seat Description
SAS' new business class seat is currently being introduced across its long-haul Airbus A330/A340 fleet. Although SAS brands this seat as "lie flat," it's not a true lie-flat experience as the seat back reclines to only 170?. The seat features up to 22 channels of in-seat video entertainment via a personal 10.4" monitor."
